The Golden State Warriors were able to make easy work of a Kawhi Leonard-less San Antonio Spurs team in the 1st round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs without their two-time MVP award winning point guard Steph Curry, but a 2nd round tilt with the scorching-hot New Orleans Pelicans may not be so easy.
But have no fear, the Splash Brother extraordinaire Steph Curry is..almost… here.
Steph Curry practiced fully today, questionable for Game 1, Steve Kerr says.

This is obviously very discouraging news for the Pelicans and the rest of the NBA as Curry’s presence vaults the Warriors into the rarified air of most unstoppable offensive force in league history.
It will be interesting to monitor the effectiveness and burst from Curry when he does return as he was never truly able to be his full defensive-destroying self in the 2016 NBA Playoffs after returning from an MCL injury.
If there is one guard in the NBA who is best suited to guard Curry in the playoffs at this point, it may be Jrue Holiday. Holiday defended Damian Lillard shockingly well and is playing the best basketball of his career on both ends by far. So is Anthony Davis.
The Warriors western conference supremacy will be pushed by the Pelicans, but a healthy Steph Curry should be enough to get them to their fourth consecutive western conference finals.
