Now that the ink is dry on the partnership between Dwyane Wade and Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning we get our first taste of what is to come with the Li-Ning Way of Wade ‘China’ pack. During my interview with Dwyane Wade he mentioned that his first two pairs of Li-Ning sneakers will be the Li-Ning Way of Wade in the ‘Shanghai’ & ‘Beijing’ colorways; the two pairs he was seen with during the trip to China to make the official partnership announcement.
The Li-Ning Way of Wade – ‘Beijing’ is constructed from black patent leather with gold accents and a translucent outsole while the ‘Shanghai’ edition features a white upper with red and black accents with a icey red outsole. The ‘Shanghai’ Way of Wade was also the pair Dwyane laced up during the NBA preseason game against the Los Angeles Clippers in China last week.
No official release date is available at this time but look for these to hit the Li-Ning webstore towards the end of this year. Expect other WADE Brand products including other sneakers and a apparel line to make a big push during All-Star Weekend in Houston this upcoming February.
