Anthony Davis has been playing out of his mind since DeMarcus Cousins went down with a torn Achilles on January 27.
He is averaging 35.9 points, 12.8 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 2.4 assists and 2.3 steals for the month of February and has led the Pelicans to a 8-3 record for the month.
He had one of the best performances of his NBA career, if not the very best, on Monday night as he had 53 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Pelicans to a 125-116 win over the Suns.

Davis added 5 blocked shots and almost single-handedly lead the team back from a first half deficit.
Here are some tweets that show just how incredible Davis has been in recent weeks in what is the greatest stretch of his NBA career thus far…

Davis is working his way into the MVP discussion and at 34-26, the Pelicans have gone from 8th in the west to 5th and are only two games out of second place with the same amount of losses at the T’Wolves.
This feels like one of those years where a player like Davis has a breakout postseason and carries his team to a playoff series victory.
