AND1 is recalling their heyday by bringing back two colorways of their popular Tai Chi Mid basketball sneaker.
Aside from the 20th anniversary pair, these are the first two colorways of the classic AND1 sneaker to be released in a few years and in the age of plastic and synthetic materials making up many basketball shoes, the tough AND1 Tai Chi build is more than welcome.
If you didn’t get out on the blacktop in the early 2000s, the AND1 Tai Chi might have only be prevalent to you because of Vince Carter’s legendary performance in the 2000 NBA Slam Dunk Contest and the red/white Player Exclusive pair that Vinsanity wore.
Available in either all black or a colorway with a mostly black upper and blue nubuck on the toe, laces, and medial (inside) part of the shoe, these two colorways of the midtop AND1 Tai Chi are on the AND1 US webstore right now for $90.
EDIT: with some manipulation of the URL of either Tai Chi; you can come up on “hidden” colorways that aren’t listed on the webstore but can still be purchased. Thank me later.
