Isaiah Thomas looked like he didn’t miss a beat in his return to the court on Tuesday night and his debut as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He looked like he had his quickness and touch and was definitely not lacking any confidence or agressiveness as Thomas scored 17 points points on 6-for-12 shooting with three assists in only 19 minutes.
Thomas will still be brought along slowly by the Cavaliers to help ensure he doesn’t re-aggravate his hip or delay his full recovery from the injury, but last night was an incredible sign for the Cavaliers. It seems like the Isaiah Thomas we have seen the past couple years may be back in full affect a lot sooner than originally anticipated.
Thomas will make his return to Boston tonight, the team that spurned him and decided to trade him this off-season after leading them to the eastern conference finals and averaging 30 points per game.
While he won’t suit up, he will still garner a reaction from the Celtics fans, but he made it clear he doesn’t want to receive any special attention or ovation though.
Isaiah Thomas has requested that the Celtics not give him a video tribute tomorrow night – mainly because he's not playing.

Thomas can’t really control these things, but the Celtics have reportedly said they will oblige. Thomas had a great, if not brief, run for the Celtics and will be appreciated and acknowledged by the fans.
