The Bulls and Timberwolves finalized a blockbuster trade on draft night and the Bulls Jimmy Butler drama finally came to a halt, he was traded to the T’Wolves for Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine and the No. 7 pick, which turned into former Arizona big man Lauri Markkanen.
While Butler seems pleased with the trade and happy to be reunited with former head coach in Chicago and current Minnesota coach Tom Thibodeau, his trainer took the opportunity to absolutely trash the Bulls culture and General Manager Gar Foreman.
Here is what Butler’s longtime trainer Travelle Gaines tweeted after the trade…

Those are some pretty harsh words and definitely over the top (not to mention some offended drug dealers out there), it is smart of Foreman to not respond.
I am sure Foreman has broken some promises about the roster and his commitment to Butler, not to mention hiring Fred Hoiberg and building a roster that is the exact opposite of how he likes to play and excel as a coach.
As for a serious analysis of the trade, Butler is a huge get for the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns, Butler and Andrew Wiggins is a hell of trio and keeping Ricky Rubio to feed everybody and a defensive stopper in Gorgui Dieng is a great recipe for a starting lineup and a playoff team in 2018. Let me go on the record that I was not jumping on the T’Wolves playoffs train in 2017, but I am fully on board now.
The Bulls finally get to move forward, but is Dunn, LaVine and Markannen better than Josh Jackson, Jae Crowder and the Brooklyn 2018 pick? We won’t know for a few years.
