Despite not ending the 2014-15 NBA Playoffs with a Larry O’Brien trophy, Damian Lillard still had a very successful year; thanks largely to the great response his first signature sneaker, the adidas D Lillard 1, received. Even though we are about half-way thru the summer season, there are still new colorways coming out like the one shown here.
Seeing a simple Blue/Black/White adidas D Lillard 1 release during the NBA off-season leads me to believe that this sneaker sold very well since there is no backstory behind this shoe (something I wish sportswear brands did more of; just releasing good sneakers without a contrived story).
When I got my hands on the first colorway, I noticed adidas used a reflective material with a animal-like print to wrap the toe. That same print is used throughout this blue D Lillard 1 which has me thinking that this entire shoe will reflect direct light.
