Nike Basketball player of 2012? Rajon Rondo.
Right after switching endorsement deals to Reebok to Nike, Rajon Rondo was paired with Russell Westbrook to be the face of then-new Hyperfuse line. The Hyperfuse line was the first foray into the Swoosh life for Rondo as he quickly adjusted into other sneakers while awaiting the release of this year’s edition which came after the Olympic Games in London. Towards the end of last year’s lockout season, Rondo left the Hyperfuse behind and what he said was his favorite sneakers from the brand to play in which explains his footwear choices for this entire season thus far. Even after getting a few Player Exclusives of the Hyperfuse 2012, Rondo seemed to move past that and began lacing up whatever he wanted; regardless of NBA uniformity fine or release date. Check out 10 reasons why Rajon Rondo is the Nike Basketball Kourt Kicks Champion of 2012 below.
