So far this season the Shaquille O’Neal experiment in Boston through the first 20+ games has been a success as the big man has provided a much needed post presence in the absence of the injured Kendrick Perkins. While for the remainder of his continuing career, Shaq will always miss some time due to injuries, he has fit in nicely as the starter at center for the once again formidable Celtics.
O’Neal has always been a self described “big kid” as evidence of his un-ending practical jokes and pranks pulled on teammates over his nearly 20 year NBA career. Just this season, Shaq has been seen appearing in a number of viral videos either spoofing Rick Ross videos or falling victim to one of lil Nate Robinson’s seemingly neverending practical jokes.
While on the court, Shaq draws a ton of attention, he may be a bigger attention grabber off the court as an ambassador to the game and product endorser. One such occasion occurred recently when O’Neal made an appearance as part of the “Experience the Glove” campaign where the future Hall of Famer wore and auctioned off an exact model of Micheal Jackson’s white glove for charity.
The big man, dressed as Shaq-A-Claus was coaxed into playing the newest Ubisoft game Micheal Jackson: The Experience, where one must imitate some of the “King of Pop’s” now famous dance moves like the Moonwalk.
Oh yeah, and is that a Shaq + Nikki ‘Hoopz’ Alexander sighting at a public appearance? Hmm….must be getting serious…
