Michael Jordan’s infamous dunk from the free throw line from the 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest was the inspiration for the iconic Jumpman logo that is synonymous with the most successful shoe brand in human history, and now it has also been immortalized in an incredible tattoo.
Just for the record, we are not talking about the thousands of terrible, cheap looking jumpman tattoos you may see at your local gym or Wal-Mart.
World renowned tattoo artist Steve Butcher recreated the iconic image to perfection:

The clarity and attention to detail of the tattoo is incredible, it almost look like a high definition image of the actual event.
The tattoo was completed for a man from Denmark who one would assume paid a pretty penny for.
This isn’t Butcher’s first masterful NBA tattoo depiction as he also tattooed James Harden’s beard and all its glory on a Harden fanatic’s leg back in February.

Hopefully Butcher’s next masterpiece will involve DeAngelo Russell, Nick Young, a Snapchat logo and the engraving of the words “Snitches get Stitches.”
