Linsanity is Dead: Lakers Trying to Trade Jeremy Lin, No Takers

linsanityoverinLAThe Jeremy Lin experiment in the NBA is beginning to jump the shark. Linsanity seems like a lifetime ago and much to everyone’s dismay, he’s not a starting PG in the league for a team that wants to be taken seriously, but is bottom feeding. He’s a decent player in a rotation still, but it is looking like that’s probably his natural ceiling. Although, Lin himself said just a month ago that he hadn’t yet reached his full potential.

The Lakers have apparently realized this and are trying to unload Lin, but aren’t having any luck.

He still would make a good backup point guard, and the Lakers would move him if they could get an asset in return, but the market for Lin has been weak. (via SN)

Well if Linsanity is down for the count, at the very least Lin had a magical run in New York, and made a decent career from what was looking like a fizzled chance at an NBA career. There was the movie and and the fanfare that NBA fans league wide were eating up the last few years, unfortunately it doesn’t look like Lin will get the Hollywood ending we had hoped.
