Watch: Jim Boeheim Goes Berzerk, Gets Ejected In Final Seconds Vs. Duke

jim boeheim tantrum rt float 1University of Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim is known for his sometimes smarmy sideline and post game interviews, priceless expressions, and dry sense of humor.

He’s one of college basketball’s last remaining living legends, winning more than 900 games, making it to 28 NCAA Tournaments, and has been the architect in helping to build the Orange program into a national powerhouse over the past 30 years.

Boeheim’s demeanor on the sidelines can be described as gentlemanly, rarely losing his emotions to a bad call or demoralizing players in front of a national audience, as he is one of the most well respected members of the NCAA coaching fraternity.

Up until this weekend, Jimmy Boeheim had never been ejected from a regular season game in his illustrious 37 year coaching career at Syracuse, with the exception being a lone exhibition game back in 2005.

During the final closing seconds of the Duke Syracuse rematch, this time at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Syracuse’s star senior forward CJ Fair drove to the rim for what appeared to be a game tying lay-up.

Except for the fact that referee Tony Greene ruled in favor of Duke, instead calling a charge on Fair, nullifying the potential and one play, and enraging Syracuse’s Hall of Fame coach like we’ve never seen before.

After the game, Boeheim was quoted as saying “It was the worst call of the year” before joking about how great the officiating was and rushed the court to “See if he still had it.”
