It’s always fun to watch an athlete step out of their comfort zone and try their hand at acting. It’s funny because you can always see how tense and stiff they become.
Pretty soon we’ll be able to apply that to LeBron James. Both he and Kevin Hart will co-star in an upcoming movie called “Ballers”, where the two will play basketball playing brothers. The mental image of that alone is enough to draw a chuckle.
According to multiple media outlets, including Variety, James will co star with Kevin Hart in a Universal and Imagine Entertainment in a feature-film comedy titled Ballers.
The project will be co-written by Hart, who will play “the brother of an NBA superstar who gets a chance to prove himself when he and some friends attend a weekend fantasy basketball camp.”
James’ manager Maverick Carter will serve as an executive producer along with Hart and James.
The movie is expected to be shot this summer in Miami, perhaps another sign that James will remain with the Heat, with an opt-out to become a free agent this summer.
