Knicks’ Tyson Chandlers Out 4-6 Weeks With Fractured Fibula

Last night, Tyson Chandler went down with an ugly knee injury after being run into by Kemba Walker. Chandler’s knee buckled sideways, and he he left the game and did not return.

The Bobcats went on beat the Knicks somehow, but the focus is on Chandler. He had an MRI during the game, but the results were inconclusive. Now, reports indicate that it may just be a sprain. If so, NY dodged a bullet because that looked ACL-ish.

The Knicks suffered a loss last night, as starting center Tyson Chandler left midway through the first quarter and never returned with a right knee injury.

Chandler was hurt when he collided with Bobcats point guard Kemba Walker. He will be evaluated on Wednesday, but Chandler might have suffered a sprain, ESPNNewYork.com reported, citing a source.

“We don’t know the severity yet,” said Knicks Coach Mike Woodson. “We will know more tomorrow morning, but he is a big piece of what we do.”
