Watch: Duke’s Jabari Parker Posterizes Two Bowie State Players

With all of the preseason hype heaped squarely upon the shoulders of University of Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins, it’s easy to forget about fellow elite freshmen like Julius Randle at Kentucky or Jabari Parker at Duke.

All 3 players, along with Oklahoma State sophomore Marcus Smart, are the odds-on early favorites for the #1 overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

The 6’8 and 240lbs Parker may be the most NBA ready player in the college ranks this season and has regularly been compared to NBA All Star and last season’s scoring champion Carmelo Anthony.

Coach K is certainly hoping that Parker, once named the best HS player since Lebron James, can make a similar impact that Melo made as a Syracuse freshman back in 2003, when he helped lead the Orange to their first NCAA Title.

Parker wasted no time in exciting the Cameron Crazies as he dropped 24 points and 14 rebounds at Duke’s Countown To Craziness just last week, when he made SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays for his thrilling reverse dunk on two teammates during a scrimmage.

During his first live action against an opposing team, Parker once again was impressive, scoring 16 points in 27 minutes of action in a 103-67 rout of Division II Bowie State.

But it was his vicious posterization of two Bowie State defenders that may again get some play on the entertainment and sports leader, as Duke is looking pretty potent once again this season…….
