After being the face of the Charge BB Low for the past two months, the New York Knicks point guard Raymond Felton started the final game of the Knicks/Celtics series in a Under Armour basketball sneaker scheduled to release later this year; the Micro G Ion.
This pair of the Under Armour Ion features a mostly orange upper with black accents and a white Micro G foam midsole. A lot of elements of the Micro G Torch were used on this new model like the entire outsole made from a single piece of rubber.
Raymond Felton isn’t the first UA Basketball member to bring out a new sneaker months ahead of the official release, before the Clippers made their exit from the post season, DeAndre Jordan wore the upcoming Under Armour Spine Predator becoming the first in the NBA to do so.
We all know that the hardwood court of the NBA Playoffs serves are the perfect platform to attract attention to sneakers so I wouldn’t be surprised to see other Under Armour silhouettes be debuted months before their release or crazy Player Exclusives from Felton during this Knicks/Pacers series.
