Dante Exum Could Miss Season for Jazz

Dante Exum has had a really hard time making his imprint in the NBA, and because of his inexperience and some injuries, has not come close to living up to the expectations of being the No. 5 pick of the 2014 NBA Draft.

This was supposed to be a big year for 22-year-old Exum as he was going to be given a chance to show his growth and solidfy a role for himself as he heads into restricted free agency next summer.

He may not have that opportunity anymore.

Exum seperated his shoulder during the Jazz-Suns pre-season game over the weekend, and the Jazz fear he could miss the entire season.

This a really huge blow to Exum, as it seemed as though things were starting to click for him this pre-season and he was starting to flash some of that floor vision and quickness that made him such an intriguing prospect in the 2014 draft.

Exum has had a lot of bad luck in his career as after adjusting to the NBA game as a raw 18-year-old rookie, he tore his ACL, missed year two and spent last season recovering and re-gaining his explosiveness and now he likely will miss year four as well.

It will be interesting to see what kind of contract he receives from the Jazz or elsewhere in restricted free agency next summer.
