From a very young age I have been obsessed with jerseys and fields and logos and everything that goes on with the branding of professional sports teams. While the jerseys can be over the top sometimes, college football’s embracing of a seemingly endless supply of specialty uniforms and helmets that started in the past decade has been pure gold to me and that trend has become pervasive across major American professional sports and the NBA.
With the move to Nike as the major apparel company for the NBA next season, each NBA team will have four uniforms for use in the 2017-18 season and some teams are taking that a step further by having alternate courts for their alternate jerseys which is awesome.
The 76ers are the next franchise to join the party and have unveiled a classic “Spirit of 76” court that will be in use for seven home games in 2017-18 featuring a bell logo at mid-court.
Enjoy…
The kids would say the court is fire.

Here is the video the official team Twitter page tweeted out Wednesday night of the bell logo:

I think this court is pretty awesome and a perfect touch to the recent jersey styles and color scheme the team has been embracing in calling back to their hey day in the 1970s and 1980s. It seems as though the team on the court may be ready to finally start making some noise again as well.
