Contrary to all recent reports on the matter, projected No. 1 pick Markelle Fultz has agreed to a workout with the Sacramento Kings on Sunday.
Markelle Fultz reportedly will work out for the Kings — is that worth reading into at all? https://t.co/maolXVANkb pic.twitter.com/LsSkOmWvTc

This could just be a courtesy for Fultz for whatever reason, or maybe he lost a bet with Vlade Divac who knows, but it is hard not to look into this situation just a little bit.
There is approximately a zero percent chance Fultz would fall to No. 5 in the draft and there have been rumblings about the Kings trading up for No. 3, but the chances of Fultz being available at No. 3 are basically non-existent as well.
The Celtics are all about asset acquirement, but for a team with an embarrassment of riches with draft picks and already a representative in the eastern conference finals this season, trading the No. 1 pick for No. 5 and No. 10 wouldn’t make any sense. The Kings also have nobody on their roster currently that should really appeal to what the Celtics need.
It is a little odd that Fultz will work out with the Kings but not the Lakers or 76ers, I really think there is nothing else to this though. Expect Fultz to be called to the podium first on June 22, as the newest member of the Boston Celtics.
