The Chris Bosh saga continues and may not end until he retires. Whenever that may be. He still has not been medically cleared, and Pat Riley has made it clear that Bosh’s future with the team is over and he is not in their future plans. Riles may end up cutting Bosh, but probably won’t do so until it’s late enough for him to not be eligible to join a team for the playoffs.
But apparently Bosh has different plans. According to reports, he’s content on sitting out this season. Given he’s still a member of the Heat, who don’t want him, and the fact that he hasn’t been medially cleared, he may not have much of a choice.
We hear Bosh – who wants to play again – isn’t necessarily planning to play this season.
At the moment, an attempted comeback next season is considered more likely (with another team, if he can find one to clear him medically), though it’s impossible for Bosh or anyone to know how soon he can play.
Bosh is making no attempt, at this time, to force the issue and make the Heat release him.
