Draymond Green was arrested over the weekend for allegedly slapping a heckling fan in East Lansing, Michigan. As far as athletes getting in trouble with the law, we’ve certainly seen worse. But that doesn’t excuse his actions. Easier said than done, but he has to realize he’s a verbal target for fans and just ignore the noise.
For the first time since the news broke, Green has spoken up and is taking full responsibility for his actions. This does, however, show how vulnerable his is to something like this happening again.
“When things happen, you meet them head on,” Green said Tuesday. “My legal team is handling it. It will be resolved really quickly, As a public figure I can’t put myself in certain situations. It’s something that I’ll learn from and move on.”
