Tim Duncan Experienced A Playoff First Last Night

tim Duncan

Tim Duncan has played 19 seasons in the NBA and has made the postseason in all of those 19 seasons, winning five NBA titles and making six NBA Finals appearances in that time period.

That means The Big Fundamental has played in a lot of playoff games, 243 to be exact.

Something happened in the Spurs 94-68 playoff win over the Grizzlies Tuesday night that had never happened to Duncan before, he was held without a field goal.

Duncan only attempted one field goal in 26 minutes and finished the game with 3 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 1 block.

Duncan is 5th in NBA history with over 5,000 career points in the postseason, trailing only Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal.

Don’t expect Duncan’s offensive output to increase much in the next few games, but there is little doubt that his production and game will increase once the heat is turned up in the next round with another showdown with the Oklahoma City Thunder appearing on the horizon.
