The Pelicans got off to a terrible start to the season, and injuries certainly didn’t help. But to their credit, they are only 4 games back of the final playoff spot in the East. However, there are 3 teams between them and that 8th spot.
If they have any shot at reaching there, Anthony Davis will need to play as many games as possible. But after suffering a concussion on Monday night at the hands of teammate Tyreke Evans, the Pels may be without the Brow for a while.
New Orleans Pelicans All-Star forward Anthony Davis left Monday’s game against Houston with a minute left in the second quarter after taking a blow to the head in a collision with teammate Tyreke Evans.
The Pelicans said he had a concussion and was out for the remainder of the game.
Davis and Evans were going for a defensive rebound when Evans unintentionally elbowed Davis, who fell to the floor as Houston picked up the loose ball. Play was stopped after the Rockets scored, and after trainers looked at him for a couple of minutes, Davis walked slowly to the locker room.
