As popular as the Air Jordan VI is, not every original colorway has been given the Retro treatment yet. Jordan Brand goes into their vault for the first re-issue of this fan-favorite Michael Jordan sneaker.
Being one of the most anticipated releases of the year, the Air Jordan 6 ‘Maroon’ is one of the few original Air Jordan colorways that Michael Jordan didn’t wear on-court during an NBA game…or if he did I haven’t seen a single image.
For the last few years, rumors of this original Jordan 6 colorway from 1991 would be getting a Retro release. One of the best, subtle features of being released in 2015 is the kosher use of Nike Air branding on the same shoe elements as the first editions.
NOTE: the price increase seen on this Retro release is the first Jordan to carry the new $220 price tag.
