Since playing in the same basketball games as a young Kyrie Irving in New Jersey as a kid, I feel personally invested in his success despite having a minuscule impact. That is definitely why this new Nike Kyrie 1 colorway stands out to me.
Officially knows as the ‘Letterman’ Kyrie 1, this upcoming colorway of Irving’s first signature basketball sneaker is inspired by the now-closed St Patrick HS in Elizabeth, NJ. Kyrie is an alumni of this high school basketball powerhouse alongside other current/former NBA players Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Al Harrington, Samuel Dalembert, and Dexter Strickland.
