After missing the first two games of the preseason, Dallas Maverick’s superstar veteran Dirk Nowitzki finally made his debut and showed to us that he can still play very good basketball. He finished with 16 points, while shooting 7-of-11 from the field under just 18 minutes of playing time in their 106-98 victory over the George-less Pacers.

The unfortunate hip injury sidelined him for quite some time, but examining this performance—there is a lot of reason to be optimistic for the Mavericks upcoming season as their German treasure still has a lot left in the tank.
Furthermore, with Nowitzki’s willingness to take less money from the team—the Mavericks were able to add key pieces ( Tyson Chandler, Chandler Parsons, and Monta Ellis) that has quickly turned back the franchise into title contenders this upcoming season. It’s not going to be easy for sure because almost everyone in the Western Conference have a chance at winning the gold.
Another epic finish can be expected this coming season—this is why we love this game.
