Michael Jordan is turning 50 years old on Sunday. Damn, that makes me feel old. I grew up watching MJ’s rise to dominance. He is far and away the greatest basketball player to ever live. I realize there will always be debates about who is the GOAT, and as Jordan’s memory gets more distant, more of the younger generation will want to make a case for their favorite active player being an equal to Jordan. I guess that’s one nice thing about getting old, you can benefit from experience and having seen both play through their careers to make a stronger comparison.
