Well, I’ll be: We have another twist in the Chicago Bulls’ point guard saga.
Michael Carter-Williams started at the 1 in each of the team’s last 12 games. Prior to the Bulls’ Tuesday night win over the clunky Orlando Magic, though, he found out he was now nixed from the rotation in favor of Jerian Grant and Rajon Rondo—yes, the same Rajon Rondo who thought himself out of the rotation.
Here’s all the fun details from the Chicago Tribune‘s K.C. Johnson and ESPN.com’s Nick Friedell:

It gets slightly better, too.
Rondo was asked about potentially returning to the starting lineup after logging 15 minutes, taking three shots and dropping three assists:

See, Bulls fans? Everything is totally fine.
Just kidding.
This odd experiment isn’t over for Chicago. Head coach Fred Hoiberg went without a point guard for stretches against Orlando and could decide to give that look more spin in the coming games. Or maybe he’ll go back to Grant. Or Rondo. Or MCW.
We don’t really know.
The Bulls need a point guard who can space the floor and play off the ball since they have Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade on the roster. And until they get that offensive pilot, their point guard rotation will remain in unrivaled flux.
