Klay Thompson Says Golden State Warriors Aren’t Facing Too Much Hate on the Road

Do better, haters.

After adding Kevin Durant to a 73-win core, the 2016-17 Golden State Warriors instantly become the most hated team since the 2010-11 Miami Heat. But they aren’t facing the wrath of such a status.

As Klay Thompson told The Vertical’s Michael Lee:

It’s not too bad. It hasn’t been crazy. No one has been cussing us out. Not yet. They will. Got to take it in stride,” Thompson told The Vertical. “It’s a unique position. A lot of players don’t get to experience the attention our team gets, so you just have to enjoy it, have fun out there, because it goes by really fast. I’m just having fun.”

No wonder the Warriors’ 80-2 record is still in play. Rival fans aren’t giving them a hard enough time on their team’s behalf.

Indeed, during the Warriors’ victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night, there were a ton of Golden State jerseys in the crowd. And that was in Wisconsin! Imagine how it’ll be/must’ve been in New York, and Chicago, and Los Angeles, and all the other bandwagon centers of the world.

Tsk, tsk, y’all. It’s time to step up your troll game.

After all, thus far, the Warriors themselves are doing the best job of trolling the Warriors:

We can’t have this. So while we’ll give the Indiana Pacers fans a break for Monday night, it’s on Los Angeles Lakers fans, who represent Golden State’s next road opponent, to make these Warriors understand the meaning of being super villains.
