Watch: HS Baller’s First Ever Dunk Is A Backboard Shattering Alley-Oop

nubian spann rt float 1Prior to this weekend, 6’3 senior guard Nubian Spann hadn’t gotten much attention nationally despite leading his Panther Creek, North Carolina squad to a nearly unblemished 13-1 mark heading into a match-up against rival Apex.

But that all has changed after Spann made Sportcenter’s Top 10 plays for shattering a backboard in the 2nd quarter of their contest with Apex, that caused the game to be suspended to a later date.

Spann received a perfect alley-oop pass from teammate Juan Munoz on a fast break before throwing down a thunderous dunk that nearly brought down the entire backboard support in addition to glass going everywhere.

Spann reportedly did receive a cut high on his neck near his back but didn’t require any stitches.

What makes the story a bit more interesting that following an interview live on ESPN, Spann revealed that this had been his first ever dunk finished off in an official game.
