The Markelle Fultz situation in Philadelphia is one of the most bizarre things I have seen in the NBA.
The No. 1 pick of the 2017 NBA Draft, who was known for his sweet shooting stroke in college and his ability to score from anywhere on the court, apparently decided to completely change his jump shot this off-season and came into 76ers camp with a broken jump shot and almost zero confidence.
After playing a few games this season and looking passive on the floor and unwilling to take many jump shots (and struggling mightily from the free-throw line) Fultz has now been out with an unspecified right shoulder injury and conflicting reports from the team and his agent.
Fultz was back on the practice court on Monday and shooting left-handed…

Nuebeck said that Fultz was taking every single shot outside of the paint left-handed, which begs the question: Is he really considering pulling a Tristan Thompson and switching his shooting hand in the NBA?
While that may be ok for a player like Thompson, that is not the kind of action you want from your No. 1 pick and scoring point guard of the future.
It will be fascinating to see how this incredible odd story unfolds, just another example of the dark magic voodoo that is inflicted on 76ers rookies…
