Karl-Anthony Towns, Wolves Talking Max Extension

Since being selected No.1 in the 2015 NBA Draft, Karl Anthony-Towns has shown that he is an NBA superstar in the making and every bit the franchise cornerstone for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He has averaged 21.6 points and 11.7 rebounds in three seasons and proven to be the model NBA center of the future as a guy who can shoot 54% from the field and 40% from three-point range.

Because of this, the Wolves are likely soon to pay him like the future of their franchise with a max contract.

This is a no-brainer for Towns and the Wolves as he will likely be offered the same five-year, $158 million contract that Devin Booker signed with the Suns this summer.

Towns is a special offensive talent and can be the go-to guy for Minnesota for the next 10-12 years, but he has not lived up to his defensive potential and seems to lack the desire to be as effective as he should be on that end on most nights, ask Jimmy Butler

This will likely be done within a week or so and the Wolves will have their star locked up for the foreseeable future.
