The NBA is probably the most popular of the major professional sports leagues worldwide. The growing love for basketball around the world and the gluttony of marketable superstars make the league an attraction in many areas of the globe.
The NBA honors this by playing a few preseason and even regular season games in other countrie. For 2018 they are returning to China.
The Dallas Mavericks and the Philadelphia 76ers will play two preseason games in China this October.

They will play in Shanghai on October 5 and Shenzen on October 8.
This will be the first time either franchise has ever played a game in China.
Dirk Nowitzki will make history next season as the first player to ever play 21 seasons with one team and will kick off what is likely to be his final season by doing something he has never done, playing in the far east.
China will also host the 2019 Basketball World Cup.
