The Los Angeles Lakers have been on a roll. They have gone 17-9 in their past 26 games and have a top 10 offense and defense in that time. They are quietly giving a glimpse into what the future can be with their core of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma with a little more seasoning.
They will be without Ingram for a week though with a groin strain that he suffered against Miami last week.
Injury Update: Brandon Ingram, who was injured in Thursday’s game at Miami, underwent an MRI at UCLA Health Sunday which revealed a left groin strain.

Ingram has made a huge leap across the board this season as his body has matured a little along with his game. He has averaged 16.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists on 46.9% shooting from the field and 38% from the three-point line.
He is starting to exhibit his special ball handling ability for a player of his size and his really quick first step to burst to the rim and finish through contact more often.
Losing him for a week is no big deal for a Lakers team with no real playoff shot and no 1st round draft pick this year, but his ability to flash star potential the rest of the season will aide the Lakers recruiting efforts this summer.
He could return as early as Sunday against Cleveland and you know the guy the Lakers are dreaming of acquiring this summer, you may have heard of him…
