The Wizards have very legitimate chemistry issues. There have been multiple reports that have gone public about ineffective players only meetings (are they ever effective) and players taking veiled or not so subtle shots at other members of the team.
Gortat is usually at the center of this as one of the more difficult personalities to deal with in the league, tweeting about the Wizards great “team” win the other night, minus John Wall of course.
Unbelievable win tonight ! Great "team" victory!

Wall didn’t take too kindly to the veiled shot at him and kept it 100 in an interview as the kids say…

Wall probably didn’t handle it in the most politically correct way (nobody is doing that in Washington D.C. right now though am I right??), but he is completely right. Gortat is not the kind of guy who can really generate his own offense without a great point guard to feed him on the pick-and-roll.
Because of this one would assume, the Wizards have made Gortat available in a trade.
From Brian Windhorst of ESPN:
“The Washington Wizards have been engaged in trade talks involving center Marcin Gortat, multiple sources told ESPN.
Several teams have shown interest, but the Wizards are looking to improve their team now while not taking on additional long-term money, sources said. Washington has expressed interest in LA Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, ESPN’s Zach Lowe reported.”
It feels unlikely the Wizards land Jordan without giving up a player like Kelly Oubre and their 1st round pick along with Gortat or more yet they seem unwilling to do that.
Either way, the Wizards need to shake up their roster a little, I would start with dealing their bad seeds, Marcin Gortat and Markieff Morris.
