Things went from bad to worse for the Orlando Magic.
After being the surprise team in the NBA the first few weeks of the season, the Magic are now 11-23. They will also now be without one of their two best players in Nikola Vucevic.
Vucevic was diagnosed with a fractured first metacarpal on his left hand, according to the Orlando Sentinel’s Josh Robbins.
Recovery time for this injury means that Vucevic will be out for the next six to eight weeks which would mean he wouldn’t return to action until about the all-star break.

Vucevic was in the midst of a bounce-back season in Orlando averaging 17.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists on 49% shooting from the field.
The Magic may decide to go small for longer periods over the next month or two with the lack of depth in the front court (crazy considering the logjam last season), but Bismack Biyombo should get a huge opportunity as well, a chance to start earning some of that $18 million he is making per season.
