Tony Parker to Make Season Debut Monday Night

There are three things that are absolute certainties in life: death, taxes and the San Antonio Spurs making the playoffs.

That is of course a play off of the quote by current Washington Wizards Head Coach Scott Brooks, who said a version of that a few years back, which is a play on the quote from Benjamin Franklin in 1789, not including the San Antonio Spurs of course.

Despite not having their annual MVP candidate and starting point guard, the Spurs are still chugging along at 12-7 and in 3rd place in the Western Conference.

They have some more good news as well: Tony Parker is making his return.

Parker shared the news on his Facebook page on Sunday:

Parker will give them a leadership boost and an emotional boost, and with Patty Mills struggles to take hold of the point guard position early in the season, he will bring some stability to the Spurs on the court as well.

Still no definitive timetable for Kawhi Leonard’s return and as good as the Spurs are playing, they have no chance to make any noise in the playoffs without a healthy Leonard.
