Ben Simmons Fully Cleared To Play Basketball

The potential super trio of the future in Philadelphia of Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz got one step closer to being able to impact the league next season.

Ben Simmons has been fully cleared to play basketball.

Simmons apparently took part in a full court pickup game in his home country of Australia over the past few days and is fully ready to go for training camp and the pre-season.

No. 1 pick Fultz has been cleared to resume basketball activities for the ankle injury suffered during the NBA Summer League and will be ready for training camp as well.

Unfortunately, Embiid still hasn’t been cleared while recovering from knee surgery, but many have faith he will be able to start the season for a rejuvenated 76ers franchise as well.

Simmons being cleared is a great sign for the 76ers and the NBA as a whole and it will be pretty cool to see the last two No. 1 picks of the NBA Draft on the floor together. They will try and lead the 76ers back to prominence along with one of the most exciting center prospects in recent NBA history in Embiid and great role players such as J.J. Reddick, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and T.J. McConnell among others.

Simmons is the co-favorite along with Lonzo Ball of the Lakers to be the 2017-18 rookie of the year and he should be able to have an immediate impact with his unique combination of size, court vision and play-making ability.
