Bucks Acquire Terrance Jones Off Waivers

The Bucks got another talented, young forward to add to their collection on Thursday by signing recently waived Pelicans power forward Terrance Jones.

With the proliferation of injuries that have rocked the Bucks at the forward position this season with Jabari Parker tearing his ACL, Khris Middleton missing the first two-thirds of the season with a hamstring injury and the recent injury to comeback player of the year candidate Michael Beasley, who hyper-extended his knee and is out for three weeks, the Bucks were in dire need of more depth and skill at the forward positions and Jones fills that role.

Jones averaged 11.5 points and 5.9 rebounds in 24 minutes per game for the Pelicans this season before being waived after the trade deadline last week.

Jones has been nothing but productive if healthy (if is the operative word) in his career for the Rockets and Pelicans as a guy who can give you 12 to 14 points and five to seven rebounds in 20 to 26 minutes. He provides a little ball-handling ability, the ability to score around the hoop and create his own shot off the dribble which is still somewhat of a rare skill for a power forward.

I foresee him getting plenty of opportunities and playing well for the Bucks for the remainder of the season.
