Draymond Green Says Warriors Have Regained Chip on Their Shoulder

Draymond Green
The reigning NBA champion, historically good Golden State Warriors are back.

Because, apparently, they left.

Which is effing absurd.

Draymond Green offered some pointed words following the Warriors’ shellacking of the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night that should terrify the rest of the NBA. From the Washington Post‘s Tim Bontemps:

“We kind of have that chip back on our shoulder,” Green said. “I think it kind of fell off a little bit, but we’ve been playing like that the past two games, and it’s exciting.”

This, again, is freaking absurd.

The Warriors did lay an egg against the Detroit Pistons, but that was their first full-strength loss of the season. One of Harrison Barnes, Stephen Curry and Green was absent in each of their other three. So, really, the Warriors could be 42-1 if each of them had played every game. And, really, having been undefeated heading into that Pistons letdown, they would have been plenty motivated to stay that way.

Green is basically saying the Warriors are aware of their chase for 72-plus victories and won’t back down.

What I’m saying is that, had Barnes, Curry and Green never missed a game, the Warriors wouldn’t yet have a loss to their name, and we’d be subsequently entertaining the idea of having an 82-0 squad on our hands.
