Kyrie Irving made his much anticipated return Sunday night after suffering a knee injury during overtime of game 1 of the 2015 NBA Finals and missing the first 24 games of the 2015-16 season for the Cavaliers.
Irving looked good but definitely like a player trying to get his legs, stamina and cardio back after missing some time, scoring 12 points to go along with four assists, two steals and a rebound in 17 minutes.
The Cavs will slowly work Irving back into the fold but already at 18-7 and in first place in the East without Irving, the Cavs figure to dominate and run away from the East the rest of the season.
With Kevin Love playing much better and feeling more comfortable alongside with LeBron James and new veteran depth in Mo Williams and Richard Jefferson, the Cavs look primed to compete for the ultimate prize once again.
Kyrie’s geriatric alter ego Uncle Drew made his long awaited return recently as well, rejoicing in giving young whippersnappers buckets are local parks across the country, this time settling an old score with a game of H-O-R-S-E in Miami Beach…
