On Sunday night, Clippers power forward Blake Griffin made his return after a long 15-game absence in repairing a staph infection that required surgery. However, his return would be spoiled by the visiting Houston Rockets, who were able to get a much needed road victory at their expense (100-98).
James Harden was marvelous as always—with a game-high of 36 points to lead them. While on the other side, Chris Paul gave a valiant effort with 23 points and Griffin finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 boards, which weren’t enough to get them past the Rockets.
And adding further injury to the Clipper fanbase, the Rocket’s Corey Brewer provided the crowd with probably the highlight of the night and an emphatic greeting for Griffin with this poster dunk….
You don’t usually see Blake Griffin at the receiving end of a poster dunk, but nonetheless, it was still an entertaining highlight.
