Now that the Reebok Shaqnosis has been re-released in the original white-and-black colorway, the time is ripe break away from the past and put out some new colorways.
This colorway is said to be inspired by the 1997 movie STEEL staring Shaquille O’Neal, what has come to be known as the ‘Steel’ Reebok Shaqnosis features a silver reflective upper with monochromatic silver hypnotizing loops. An entirely black midsole is finished with a translucent green glow-in-the-dark bottom.
Shaquille O’Neal originally debuted his Shaqnosis signature sneaker with Reebok during the ’95-’96 NBA season going 60-22 with the Orlando Magic. The crazy thing is that the Shaqnosis costs $10 less than it did when it first came out.
In 2011, I did a list on Shaq’s 10 best sneakers while in the NBA. The Shaqnosis was at the top of the list then and still is to me. More than happy to see this sneaker return so be ahead of the game and scoop this exact colorway and throw it in the closet for 5 years. You’ll thank me in 2018.
On August 28th, the ‘Steel’ Reebok Shaqnosis releases for $115 in for adults as well as in grade school (GS) sizes for $90.
