Nike Basketball designed this years’ Easter pack inspired by the egg hunts that accompany this holy day.
When it comes to the Easter sneakers for LeBron James, think of these as being mint. The inner lining will feature graphics giving further nods to symbolism often associated with Easter to some. The ‘Easter’ LeBron X Low will debut the lowtop version of the 10th LeBron signature sneaker.
On the ‘Easter’ Kobe 8 System, the tradition of painting eggs in pastel colors was the inspiration. Being the first Nike Basketball sneaker with Engineered Mesh, we see that it displays colors very well thru the snakeskin detailing incorporated into the upper graphic.
For Kevin Durant’s sneaker, the ‘Easter’ KD V was given another solid upper like most of (except for the ‘Christmas’ KD V) the special edition pairs seen throughout the season.
LeBron James is the only player who will get to wear their ‘Easter’ edition signature sneakers during an NBA game on Easter Sunday; no word on if KD and Kobe will throw these on during an afternoon pickup game on Sunday. Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant will have to settle for wearing the Easter version of their signature sneakers the night before when their teams take on the Sacramento Kings & Milwaukee Bucks respectively.
With Easter falling on March 31st this year, Nike Basketball will release the entire Easter pack on March 29th.
