Every once in a while you find a player floating around in the NBA that makes you say, “so that’s what happened to him after getting drafted”. I had a bit of that feeling tonight watching this incredible play by Byron Mullens. Many of you might remember him as B.J. Mullens, who was highly touted coming out of college in the 2009 NBA Draft. The Mavs picked him up and immediately traded him to the Thunder. He went overseas to play during the lockout, and has since been traded to the Charlotte Bobcats putting in consistent minutes. But he’s never really done anything highlight worthy to speak of. Until tonight. Check out this vicious dunk Mullens throws down on virtually the whole Blazers squad. Gotta love the play by play call as well (unfortunately this YouTube feed isn’t the one I was watching). My call went something like: “I think that even surprised Mully!”
