Melo took to Instagram providing the best pictures yet of the upcoming Jordan Melo M8 Advance, an updated version of his Melo M8 sneaker from last season. Not only did we get an early look at three pairs of his next signature sneaker, but he also provided the inspiration for each pair.
Along with the expected NY Knicks pair, a red/silver colorway is seen that pays tribute to the Red Hook area of Brooklyn, NY where Anthony was born. The anticipated WWF/WWE pack that is coming out in a few months we now know will have a Melo M8 Advance pair inspired the by Legion of Doom tag team.
As far as the materials on the sneaker goes, we can see that the upper uses Hyperfuse construction and sits atop a Zoom Air cushioning system. The cut on these doesn’t look as high as it did on the M8 but somewhere in between the height of the original and the M8 Low. A minor, but dope, detail on this new silhouette is that the left sneaker will feature the Melo logo on the tongue with a Jumpman by the toe while the right will reverse that branding putting the word ADVANCE on the tongue alongside a larger Jumpman and Melo logo on the toebox.
