According to numerous reports the Bulls have tried to satisfy the Raptors power forward needs by offering Taj Gibson for Patrick Patterson straight up.

The Raptors apparently said no thanks because of Gibson’s slightly more expensive and shorter contract, and the fact that they are clearly in search of a more small ball hybrid forward type with more long range shooting and scoring ability like Thad Young or Markieff Morris.
The Raptors may have a new power forward come Thursday, but it won’t be Taj Gibson.
