Aside from laying on the ground and hugging the basketball in joy after an 8th seeded Nuggets team beat a top seeded SuperSonics team after being down 0-2 in the first round of a mid-90’s playoff series, Dikembe Mutombo is probably best known for his time in Atlanta. Even so, he was only a Hawk for 4 and a half years. But his impact was big enough where the team will retire his #55 jersey this fall.
