Whenever an athlete steps out of their comfort zone and ventures into the world of acting, it’s always something interesting to watch in order to see how they adapt to a new environment. Corey Brewer of the Denver Nuggets fits this scenario perfectly, as he has made his acting debut in “Movie 43”, which will be in theaters January 25th.
Corey is represented by Relativity Sports, which is the sports division of Relativity Media, and also the producer of “Movie 43.” But Corey isn’t the only NBA player in the movie. Larry Sanders from the Bucks and Jared Dudley of the Suns are also featured. And if that’s not enough, the star-studded cast also includes Halle Berry, Terrence Howard, Hugh Jackman and Richard Gere, to name a few.
On behalf of The Hoop Doctors, I recently caught up with Corey talk about his role in this movie. But of course, I also had to ask Corey about other topics such as expectations for the Nuggets in the second half of the season, and what JaVale McGee is really like off the court.
Here’s our interview with Corey, followed by the official trailer for “Movie 43”.
