The Knicks are Chris Paul’s First Choice
The ability to form “superstar teams” was something that the small market owners weren’t exactly fond of. But if a player is willing to take less money to go there, then so be it. According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard on Twitter:

Big Three After Workout in Miami [PIC]
C’mon fellas. Getting ready to take over the basketball world this season in Miami doesn’t mean you can ignore the basic rules of fashion and dressing yourself. White socks in sandals. Say it ain’t so.

Animation on End to NBA Lockout
NBA players and owners have reached a tentative deal to end the 2011 lockout. The owners got pretty much what they wanted while the players saw their share of revenue slashed from 57% to between 49% and 51%. Rather than address the problems that got the league into this situation — namely the absence of real revenue sharing between large- and small-market teams — the owners essentially extorted the players. They locked the players out, which led to the loss of 16 regular season games and cost both the players and owners $400 million in lost revenue. As of now, the 2011-2012 NBA season could start on Christmas Day. Training camp starts Dec. 9.

Dalembert Wants Less Money to Join Heat
How great is this? We can now actually begin talking about basketball and player movement again. Free agency will begin December 9 but let the talks begin…
“That would be fantastic,” Dalembert said in an interview Sunday night from Haiti with FOX Sports Florida about the possibility of joining Miami, which is where more than 50 of his relatives live and is about one hour south of his Boca Raton, Fla., home.
As for the volunteering part, it likely would require a big pay cut for Dalembert to join the Heat, which will be over the salary cap. Dalembert, who made $13.43 million last season for Sacramento, might have to sign for the $5 million mid-level exception.
Dalembert wouldn’t say specifically he would agree to that. But he did say “what is best for you might not be for the most money.” And he definitely likes the Heat.

“Homecoming Tour” Canceled
LeBron, ‘Melo, CP3 and Wade were planning on holding a “Homecoming Tour” in the coming weeks. But with news of the new labor deal, they’ve made the wise decision to call it off.
Ticketmaster on Sunday listed the LeBron James stop on the “Homecoming Tour” of lockout all-star games as “canceled.” It was later announced that Dwyane Wade’s own “Homecoming” game also had been called off.
James had been scheduled to host a game Thursday at the University of Akron. It was scheduled to be the first game of the four-city tour co-hosted by Wade, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul.
The four announced the tour last week. All four games are now off, with a combined charity event instead being planned.

Nike Zoom KDIV ‘Nerf’ Release Info

Just off the strength of the internet, the fourth signature sneaker for Kevin Durant by Nike is already seen as the most successful of the line.
The Nerf Zoom KD IV takes its inspiration from a company known for making toy basketball hoops that hang from doors with the same name. A mostly blue sneaker with grey seen on the heels, the KD IV’s adaptive fit strap is also blue and black with a gradient-like streak across the center dividing the two colors. Bright orange finishes the entire bottom of the Zoom Air sole and is also seen on the giant strap branding.
The Swoosh is the best in the industry when it comes time to fabricating limited sneaker boxes and this box alone would work for anyone making this argument. Packaged with the sneakers is a fully functioning Nerf basketball hoop with matching ball with “KD35″ branded in the same font used by the toy company.

Without debate, the biggest boasting right Kevin Durant has had with the Zoom KD series for the last three seasons is that all of his sneakers have been under $100.
Now that Nike is starting to push Durant’s line by producing more sneakers not just inspired by basketball will they remain true to the sub-$100 precedent that they’ve already set with the last three models?
While that is unknown for now I’m just happy to have a good look at the Zoom KD IV since it first debuted during the South Florida All-Star Classic charity game in October. Scroll down to take a look at hi-res pictures of the Zoom KD IV ‘Nerf’ edition.

The ‘Nerf’ Zoom KD IV has a scheduled release date of December 17, 2011 for $88. Stay in tune with our Kicks section for more info on these and all other new basketball sneakers.
